For the opening of Espai Abacus, the new 1,600 m² flagship store in the heart of Barcelona, I was responsible for the graphic redesign of the store’s visual materials.
The main challenge was to preserve the brand’s essence of being “lifelong and familiar” while giving it a modern, updated look. Another key objective was ensuring the new visual language was consistent with Abacus’ digital channels, reinforcing an omnichannel brand experience.
You can see the store’s transformation and my design work in action in the following YouTube video:
Design of dynamic audiovisuals, posters, and signage for in-store displays, guiding customers and showcasing promotions with a contemporary yet warm style, using updated typography and colors aligned with Abacus’ new visual identity.
Development of the graphic design for the entrance lockers, incorporating keywords and iconography to emphasize sustainability, showing that in-store pickup generates less waste and fewer emissions than home delivery by truck.
The results achieved with this new graphic design include omnichannel brand consistency, aligning the physical flagship store with Abacus' digital presence, a balance between tradition and modernity, highlighting both Abacus’ heritage and its capacity for innovation, and a reinforced sustainability message, with graphic elements that encourage responsible and environmentally friendly shopping habits.
